"My Even More Wonderful World of Fashion" by Nina Chakrabarti, is great for all those future Project Runway candidates.
Soft cover and over 200 pages of prompts to get you drawing and designing your next "fashionista" collection.
"Let's Make Some Great Art" by Marion Deuchars is also soft cover and full of prompts, techniques and art history. Lots of art projects in the making here.
I really enjoyed the artist profiles and accompanying projects.

Gail...Thank you so much for your fantastic ideas and instructions! I have made the wool roving trees with my 3 kids and their friends, which were a HUGE success! Even more exciting is that we tried the batik squares!I did them with two 3rd grade classes, and even got the teachers to make a square, then i sewed the 8x8 squares into two large rectangles, had some framing donated, and they were auctioned off at our school's fundraiser. They were gorgeous, and raised $1400 all by themselves! In a very small school district, with even smaller bidgts, this was huge! Your blog is my go to inspiration place for my kids....THANK YOU! Long live art in the classrooms!
